Hills faced a tough battle to follow up their good win vs Christchurch last week with a home tie vs Brecon. Hills skipper Matthew Davies won the toss and chose to field first. Opening bowlers Davies and Lloyd Jones had a good start bowling a tight line with just 1 wicket inside the first 8 overs, with it falling to Jones who bowled Chirs Roff for 13.  New batsman Adam Jones then took a liking to bowlers Callum Lee and Lewis Gough and brought up his 50 within 15 overs.  A second spell by Matthew Davies saw his wicket fall after a good catch behind the stumps by Tom Bowen.

At the other end Harry Baber worked his magic before taking 2 wickets, one caught brilliantly in the deep by Davies and the other caught by Dafydd Jones. With Brecon 110-4 after 16 overs, they looked like running away with the game, before some brilliant death bowling by Jones himself. Brecon finished with 132 runs on the board, with stand out figures of Baber with 2-32.

Hills' reply didn't get off to the best of starts with Tom bowen the early loss for 4. The early wicket spured hills on, with Harry baber playing some lovely stroke as he found the boundary rope on numerous occasions. Supported by Callum Lee, Baber was in full flow, but in 10th over, Brecon found their 2nd wicket and Lee was the man to fall for 23. Joined at the crease by his skipper Baber hit a 6 which took Hills even closer to their target. Baber then brought his maiden 50 up with a quick single and Hills had time on their hands to reach their target. Brecon joined the party with seamer Adam Jones taking the wicket of Baber then Davies balls later, after 2 glorious 6's.

With Hills in touching distance, there was another spanner in the works when Dafydd Jones and Chris Davies fell for 4 and 8 respectively. Joel Davies took it upon himself to hit the winning runns with a boundary down the ground and ensured Hills of a 4 wicket victory as they reached their target of 133. A superb gamee of cricket at Hills Plymouth!
